Zakłady Usługowe WSCHÓD Spółka z o.o. was founded in 1991 as a result of transformation of Kolejowe Zakłady Usługowe (Railway Servicing Plant), after excluding railway technical back-up units from the PKP structures.

The main scope of ZU WSCHÓD covers:

1. cleaning of public transport means,

2. cleaning of platforms and other services for PKP objects,

3. cleaning of public utility objects,

4. maintenance of green areas.

In May 2005 the Quality Management System PN-EN ISO 9001:2001 was implemented.
