SCOPE OF ACTIVITY

Rail Polska is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Rail World, a private international railway group, owned by Mr. Edward A. Burkhardt. Rail Polska has been providing railway freight services in Poland since 2003, and has continuously increased volumes transported. Currently, the Railway Movements Division has capacities to transport three million tonnes a year and performs both domestic and international movements, the latter in co-operation with foreign partners.

Rail Polska, operating in two divisions, the South Region and the Lower Silesia Region, manages railway sidings which are, amongst other things, the back-up to performance of transport services. Rail Polska has its own rolling stock comprising approx. 40 locomotives and 1,100 wagons. In 2006 the Rolling Stock Division modernized its first M62/ST44 diesel locomotive, launching the M62M locomotive on the market. Thanks to a complex conversion and many improvements this locomotive has suitable technical parameters and moderate operating costs. At present Rail Polska has ten M62M locomotives in service, and plans to produce one locomotive a month in 2009/2010.

Company development is based on significant investments in rolling stock and IT systems as well as the development of strategic alliances with railway operators from all over Europe
