PKP Informatyka is the only Competence Centre for Intelligent Transportation Systems in Poland. The activity of the company is centered around the concept of comprehensive computerization and computer servicing of the railway transport sector. We continue to expand our offer and to invest in IT technologies.


Our long-standing experience, knowledge and abilities were gained through more than a few hundred projects which we carried out. We remain in constant contact with many international information technology firms, which grants us access to the most modern computer technologies – these technologies are then utilised by us to create individual systems for our clients. We specialise in providing computer technology services relating to implementation, servicing and operation of IT systems of national character. PKP Informatyka is a member of PIIT (Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Communication).


PKP Informatyka represents PKP SA Group in the realm of international cooperation, making sure that all the companies of the PKP Group have complete IT integration with the European systems. We also play an active role in the European Union activities regarding the railway rolling stock. The organisational structure of PKP Informatyka was created in such a way so as to guarantee the highest quality of IT services for the whole area of the country. For that purpose, a central IT office was created in Łódź (Centralny Ośrodek Informatyki), an office for the North of Poland was set up in Szczecin (Północny Ośrodek Informatyki) and one for the South of Poland (Południowy Ośrodek Informatyki) in Sosnowiec. The central unit
is based in Warsaw.


PKP Informatyka fulfils the requirements of the Integrated Management System standard (in accordance with PN-EN ISO 9001:2009 and PN-ISO/IEC/27001:2007) in regards to servicing (technical maintenance and software maintenance). We have also been awarded the ISO 9001:2001 Quality Management System certification - in relation to servicing activities in Poland and in other European Union countries.
