PKP CARGO TABOR – OSTRÓW WIELKOPOLSKI Sp. z o.o. was created on 1 November 2009 after it was established as a subsidiary undertaking from the structures of PKP CARGO S.A. The company inherited the activities of the former organisational units of PKP (Polish National Railways), which used to repair the railway rolling stocks in the area of Ostrów Wielkopolski and Krotoszyn, such as: Locomotive Depot, Carriage and Zakład Taboru (Railway Rolling Stock Company) in Ostrów Wielkopolski.


The main responsibility of the Company is carrying out assigned maintenance works of the railway rolling stock, which is of the locomotives and carriages, in a way which guarantees high quality of service, adherence to all the necessary standards and technological requirements, to make sure that the rolling stock is highly efficient and reliable. We believe strongly in the following values: tradition, experience, professionalism and reliability.


The Company mainly carries out the assignments which are provided by PKP CARGO S.A.: periodical repairs of electric locomotives, ongoing maintenance services of the railway rolling stock, ongoing and emergency repairs of electric and diesel locomotives and ongoing repairs of cargo carriages. In addition, the company repairs the subassembly elements of electric and diesel locomotives and physically liquidates railway rolling stocks. The Company also inspects and repairs measuring instruments, which are used in the railway sector.


Thanks to the location and the railway lines running through Ostrów Wielkopolski, there is a possibility to set up there a permanent or emergency rolling stock point for a carrier from outside the PKP S.A. Group.
