Kolejowe Zakłady Nawierzchniowe COGIFER POLSKA Sp. z o. o. started their activity in 1947 as a plant of PKP - Polish State Railways designated for manufacturing of switches and components for turnouts.

In course of years the plant has developed the manufacturing capacities and adopted technologies. Starting from S-49 profile in the very beginning in late 90-ties the plant’s main product were the complete turnouts of UIC-60 profile to be installed on the concrete sleepers for the speed from 160 km/h. to 250 km/h In last years the company has succesfully entered the tram market complying with very demanding and varying specifications of different tram networks in Poland and Europe.

In 1991 the plant was separated from the PKP and acted as independent state company supplying the local market and developing export activities in Germany.

In 1999 the negotiations with major world turnouts manufacturer – COGIFER FRANCE - were completed and on 1.04.2000 the company COGIFER POLSKA was created with the majority share of COGIFER.

In July 2002 COGIFER POLSKA was included into international concern VOSSLOH.

The membership in COGIFER group allows the company to take advantage of the latest technological solutions in area of turnouts with a special stress on high and very high speed turnouts. The manufacturing and designing capacity of COGIFER allows the company to participate in a number of international projects, always to the satisfaction of the customers, at the same time keeping the leading position on the Polish market.

The company employs 164 qualified workers including professional designing team working with the contemporary software and hardware.
