Elektrociepłownia Lublin-Wrotków Sp. z o.o. belongs to the PGE Group.

The actual history of the Plant goes back to 1973, when a decision was made to build a new heat generation plant in the Wrotków District of Lublin. The erection of the generation plant commenced in 1974. The first water boilers were commissioned in 1976, another two in 1979 and 1985. In 2002, another major investment project-erection of a co-generation plant of 150 MWt thermal capacity and 235 MWe electrical capacity-saw its completion.

Currently, the Plant operates the following generation units: WP-70 no. 1 and 2, WP-120 no. 3 and 4 water boilers, and co-generation plant. The combined installed capacity is 592 MWt and 235 MWe.

The mission statement of Elektrociepłownia Lublin-Wrotków Sp. z o.o. is to provide the population of Lublin with a relatively cheap heat and electricity, generated in the most environment-friendly manner.

The Plant meets all the EU environment protection standards, it is a holder of an integrated permit for the operation of a fuel burning installation in the power industry, which is a prerequisite for the operation of power generation plants.
