Bombardier is the largest international investor in the rail transportation industry in Poland. It has approximately 1200 employees in Wrocław, Łódź, Katowice and Warsaw. Its wide range of business activities covers the production of locomotive bodies, bogie frames to high speed trains, regional train units, trams and metro cars, design and production of rail signalling equipment, as well as the production of electric devices and equipment.

Bombardier’s double deck trains are operated in Poland by Koleje Mazowieckie (Mazovian Railways). The TRAXX locomotives are operated by many companies, including LOTOS Kolej, PKP Cargo and ITL Polska. Modern low-floor FLEXITY trams improve the urban transport in Gdańsk, Cracow and Łódź. All main rail lines use rail signalling equipment designed and produced by Bombardier Transportation.
